Mycelium is the network underneath the forest. The brand identity matches the metaphor: warm cream surfaces, deep moss accent, calm editorial type. Parchment is the slides mode. Bioluminescent is the signal mode. Bio teal is preserved as a signature gesture, not a palette.

Font rendering note · v4. This file ships Inter Tight + Inter + JetBrains Mono from Google Fonts as the open-source fallback chain. The canonical production typography is Söhne Halbfett + Söhne + Berkeley Mono (Klim foundry + Berkeley Graphics) — those swap in across all Mycelium surfaces once the foundry POs clear. Same hierarchy, same setting, slightly more warmth + character in production glyphs.

One identity, two situational modes.

Until today, three palettes lived as coequals. Frontend-web panel (Jackie + Spiekermann + Vignelli + van Schneider 4/5 convergent, Karpathy dissent on marketing churn + moss tweak) re-hierarchized: Forest Floor IS the brand; Parchment + Bioluminescent are situational. Bio teal stays as a signal-moment gesture inside Forest Floor surfaces.

Rule of thumb. When in doubt, Forest Floor. Pivot to Parchment only when the surface is genuinely a slide or print. Pivot to Bioluminescent only for performative moments inside Mycelium (retrieval pulse, AI demo hero). Marketing site stays Bioluminescent today; queued for a Forest Floor variant per MYC-106, gated on 30 days of conversion data.
